Learn about the inner workings of the health care field, support health care workers, or promote mental health awareness and support systems in our community.

Health and Wellbeing Academy includes Impact Projects that:

○ support holistic wellbeing within individuals and community

○ support the healthcare sector

○ facilitate the learning and implementation of restorative practices

 

Current Projects

  • Bring the Light will focus on random acts of kindness and spirit-related activities. Whether it's setting up decorations for holidays and spirit week or reaching out to community organizations, this group brings the light and joy to our community.

    Grades 9-12

  • The Hospital Internship Program is designed to get students first-hand experience in the healthcare field. Students apply externally to volunteer programs at either Queens Medical Center or Castle Hospital. Once accepted they work at the hospital for at least 4 hours a week. Students interested in this program should inquire with the Ex. Ed. Team. *Off-Campus

    Age 16 and over, must have own transportation.

    Schedule varies.

  • Learn, practice and teach mindfulness. Run family, faculty and student workshops to improve the overall mindfulness of our community.

    Grades 9-12.

  • Volcanic Rock Gym in Kailua is looking for students to join their Youth Coach Program. Youth Coaches will work with the Volcanic Rock Gym Recreation Team which has rock climbers ranging from 7-17 years old. Youth Coaches will learn from staff how to coach, teach, train, and prepare athletes on the Rec. Team. In addition to supporting the Rec. Team, Youth Coaches may also support Volcanic Rock Gym’s community events.
