Hiroshima Survivor and Peace Activist: Koko Kondo

A Conversation with Koko Kondo
On Thursday, May 2 from 5:30pm-7:30pm, Koko Kondo will share her story at Ka Waiwai Collective. Koko is a survivor of the Hiroshima atomic bomb and is the daughter of Kiyoshi Tanimoto, a Methodist minister famous for his work for the Hiroshima Maidens. Koko is now a renowned peace activist who leads peace study tours in Japan and travels the world to share her story with others.

Ceeds of Peace, Friends of Hawai`i Technology Academy, and Waiwai Collective will hold this space to learn about Koko and facilitate the action planning process to create more peace in our communities and beyond. Locally sourced 'Awa and 'Ai will be available for purchase at the event.
