Explore the vast diversity of chinese cuisine and culture.
In this course, we will become familiar with the regional diversity of Chinese cuisines, from the Cantonese dishes of South China, to hearty and filling Northern Chinese dishes, to the strong, spicy dishes in Sichuan province in Southwest China. We will learn some Mandarin and Cantonese phrases to use at restaurants. At the end of the week, we will co-create a website detailing our culinary exploration to serve the Oʻahu community, so more people know where to find the delicious and unique Chinese dishes they are looking for.
